Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam is one of the most diverse and rich heritage sites in Hanoi, located to the south of the Thang Long citadel. The architectural complex of the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam includes Van Lake, the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam area, and the Giám Garden. The main architectural feature is the Temple of Literature, which is dedicated to Confucius, and Quoc Tu Giam, the first university in Vietnam |

AFTERNOON: BAT TRANG POTTERY VILLAGE | |

Depart from Melia Hanoi Hotel to Bat Trang pottery village. • Visit Bat Trang Pottery Museum Bat Trang Pottery Museum preserves the history of the pottery craft and showcases valuable artifacts with significant artistic and historical value. Here, You will have a chance to make pottery under the guidance of village artisans. • A tour around Bat Trang by tram Bat Trang Communal House: This ancient communal house, built in 1720, is dedicated to Luu Thien Tu Dai Vuong. It is one of the largest communal houses in ancient Kinh Bac, constructed in the traditional "Nhi" character architectural style. The structure consists of five main compartments and two side wings, all made from solid, massive ironwood. Bat Trang Temple of Literature: Serving a similar role as the Temple of Literature, this site symbolizes the strong emphasis on education in Bat Trang. It is dedicated to Confucius, his four disciples, and the local scholars who achieved high academic success in Bat Trang. Bat Trang Ancient Beehive Kiln: In the past, before the development of modern science and technology, Bat Trang pottery artisans used beehive-shaped kilns to fire pottery in a traditional, manual method. |
