Opening Remarks at the First VECONAC Business Forum

It is my great pleasure to be here with you today to inaugurate the First VECONAC Business Forum in the capital city of Hanoi. At the outset, I would like to extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes for good health to H.E. Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the esteemed leaders, the President of VECONAC, the distinguished leaders of the veterans associations from VECONAC member countries, and all the distinguished delegates present here. I sincerely wish VECONAC continued growth and prosperity. May the First VECONAC Business Forum a big success.

In recent years, many VECONAC member countries have made significant strides in supporting veterans to engage in economic activities, eradicate poverty, and legally achieve economic prosperity. Building on these achievements, the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries initiated a resolution to establish a VECONAC e-Market Place Platform and organize the VECONAC Business Forum, which was officially endorsed at the 23rd VECONAC General Assembly, held in Singapore from 24 to 28 July 2024.

With the approval of the Party and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, today, the Veterans Association of Vietnam, in collaboration with the Association of Vietnam Veteran Entrepreneurs and Businesses and the Singapore Armed Forces Veterans League, is organizing the First VECONAC Business Forum. This forum aims to create business cooperation opportunities among VECONAC enterprises and veteran entrepreneurs, thereby advancing the interests of VECONAC veterans and promoting peace, cooperation, and development in our countries and across the region.

It is with great honor that I officially declare the opening of the First VECONAC Business Forum. I wish the Forum a great success and extend my best wishes to all esteemed leaders and distinguished delegates for good health, happiness, and success in all your endeavors.
